About Auburn House
A Place for compassion: Auburn House is an aged care provider and specialist person’s mental health unit with 30 private rooms in a newly refurbished home like environment. We care for residents with diverse mental health, behavioural and psychological needs. Our care model is centred around the person, ensuring their ability to make choices in every aspect of their lives is supported. We strive for care that is provided in consultation with each person, eliminating institutional elements to the greatest extent possible.
We are a vital part of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne Residential, Palliative Care & Correctional Health Services, a key clinical service program of SVHM and broader SVHA Public Hospital division.
Auburn House operates with a qualified nursing workforce of Enrolled and Registered nurses with agreed workforce ratios and staffing levels that exceed industry standard.
About the Role

As a Housekeeper, you'll play an essential role in upholding our commitment to cleanliness and safety. Your duties will encompass ensuring the cleanliness of living spaces, managing laundry services, and assisting with meal preparation and serving—all vital components in providing a comfortable and nurturing workplace for our residents. Join our friendly and dynamic team in this challenging yet rewarding position.
Your Contribution
- Possession of Food Safety Level 1 HLTFSE001 qualification
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in food handling and cleaning
- Strong communication skills and adherence to policies and procedure
- The classification for this position will be GV90 ($51,350 per annum pro rata) plus additional allowances if applicable.
