This HR Generalist / HR Manager role takes ownership of the HR function at Marland Mushrooms. You'll be working closely with managers, supervisors and employees across operations, helping build a workplace where people, performance and compliance go hand in hand.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the full employee lifecycle — recruitment, onboarding, performance and exit processes
- Providing practical HR advice and support to managers and supervisors
- Managing employee relations, grievances, investigations and workplace conduct matters
- Supporting performance management and workplace culture initiatives
- Maintaining HR policies, procedures and compliance systems
- Supporting workplace relations and employment legislation compliance
- Managing HR records, reporting and documentation
- Coordinating HR training and development
- Participation in audits, compliance programs and customer/ethical sourcing requirements
- Identifying HR risks and turning them into practical solutions
About you
- Relevant qualifications and/or significant experience in Human Resources
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment and workplace relations legislation
- Experience managing employee relations, grievances and investigations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence dealing with employees at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and make sound, practical decisions
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach
- Experience in an operational, manufacturing, agriculture, food production or similar environment would be highly regarded
