Delta T Technologies Pty Ltd is a specialist heat exchanger service company based in Welshpool, WA.
We are looking for an experienced Heat Exchanger Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with strong mechanical experience who can confidently carry out heat exchanger servicing, repair, assembly and testing with a high level of independence.
Experience working specifically with plate heat exchangers will be highly regarded.
About the Role
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out workshop and site-based work involving the servicing, repair, assembly and installation of Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers and associated equipment.
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently on assigned jobs while maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Dismantling and inspecting plate heat exchangers
- High pressure water blasting
- Inspecting plates, gaskets and components for damage and determining appropriate repairs
- Replacing gaskets and assembling plate heat exchangers
- Carrying out pressure, leak and integrity testing
- Assisting with job planning and preparation
- Maintaining tools, equipment and the workshop in a safe and organised condition
- Completing timesheets, job records and other required documentation
- Communicating job progress, issues and delays to the Workshop Supervisor
- Working safely and professionally in the workshop and at customer sites
- Supporting other technicians and team members when required
About You
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and mechanically capable technician who takes pride in their workmanship.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Own reliable transport
- Australian working rights (WA Residents Only; No temporary visa holders)
- Previous experience servicing or repairing plate heat exchangers is highly desirable
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Experience dismantling and reassembling industrial equipment
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Experience with pressure or integrity testing
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and identify appropriate solutions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Solid attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol screening
Advantageous:
- Pumps, valves and pipework
- Dairy, food and beverage or process industries
- Mechanical fitting and maintenance
- Forklift license
Position is covered under Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2010.
This is NOT an Entry-Level Labouring Role, Candidates with direct plate heat exchanger experience will be given preference.
