Glenelg Motel is searching for dedicated Casual Housekeeper to join our experienced team. We will support you with training, procedures and teamwork to achieve high standards, to nail first impressions and to present our public areas and accommodation rooms beautifully. Housekeepers are critically important to providing exceptional experiences for our guests - seeking hardworking and reliable teammates.

The Role and Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Housekeeping supervisor, you will maintain our high standards of service, room and public area presentation with a friendly approach. We clean departure rooms, service rooms, complete linen changes, laundry tasks, tidy storage areas, maintain well stocked trolleys, and execute safe workplace procedures.

Key duties include:

Procedure execution: We are an 1834 property and must achieve brand standards. Servicing and cleaning all allocated guest rooms, public areas and storerooms within time frames to ensure we achieve budget targets and clean, inspected rooms for guest arrivals.



Please note that this is a physically demanding role. You’ll be on the move throughout your shift, performing tasks that require bending, lifting, and the stamina to service multiple rooms/areas to the high standard expected from management and guests.

Supply Management: Keeping your housekeeping trolley fully stocked, organized, and presentable throughout your shift. Follow procedure, work with chemicals safely, report maintenance and lost property correctly.

Guest Assistance: Politely assisting guests with all enquiries, providing accurate information on property facilities, and promptly handling any minor issues.

Security & Privacy: Strictly complying with all hotel guest privacy and security protocols.

Availability: This is a casual position is for 3-4 shifts across a 7-day roster. Availability for weekdays, weekends, and public holidays is desirable.
