Our purpose-built ELC in Victor Harbor provides a warm, nurturing environment for children aged 3–5 years, with an integrated preschool program. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and passionate Early Childhood Co-Educator (on Casual Basis) to join our close-knit team.
If you love working with young children, enjoy the energy of an ELC workplace and want to be part of a team that genuinely cares about giving children the very best start, we'd love to hear from you.
About you
You will bring warmth, enthusiasm and a genuine love of working with children. You will:
- Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
- Create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where every child feels valued.

- Work collaboratively with Early Childhood Teachers and educators.
- Enjoy the variety of an ELC environment and be happy to pitch in wherever needed.
- Take pride in creating beautiful, engaging and well-presented learning spaces.
- Be a positive team player who enjoys sharing ideas and reflecting on best practice.
- Support children's confidence, independence, wellbeing and positive relationships.
Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy working with young children and want to make a difference in their everyday lives.
What you'll be doing
Working alongside our Early Childhood Teachers and educators, you will:
- Contribute to engaging,
play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF V2.0.
- Support children's learning, development, interests and individual needs.
- Observe and document children's learning and share their progress with families.
- Help create safe, stimulating and inclusive indoor and outdoor environments.
- Build positive partnerships with families and colleagues.
- Participate in reflective practice, professional learning and continuous improvement.
- Follow all child safety, health, wellbeing, supervision and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute positively to the culture and everyday life of Little Investigators.
What you'll bring
You will hold, or be working towards:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, as applicable under ACECQA requirements.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training.
- Current Child Protection and National Child Safety training.
You'll also have an understanding of the EYLF V2.0, National Quality Framework,
National Quality Standard and child safe practices.
You don't need to know everything on day one. We value people who are curious, open to learning and committed to growing their practice.
Why Little Investigators?
As part of Investigator College, you'll join a welcoming community where children, families and staff are known and valued.
We value kindness, teamwork, professionalism and a genuine love of what we do. You'll work alongside experienced educators and teachers who support one another and are passionate about providing children with meaningful experiences and strong foundations for learning.
If you get excited about a child's latest discovery, celebrate their little victories and believe that relationships are at the heart of great early childhood education, we'd love you to join us.
