Sexual Assault Support Service

Hobart

Job description

About Sexual Assault Support Service (SASS)

We deliver primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention programs, envisioning a world free from sexual violence where safety, respect and consent is upheld. We challenge the cultural norms and systems that perpetuate sexual violence and cause harm. We lead change through advocacy and by working alongside the community in prevention, early intervention, response, recovery, and healing.

Our vision is a lutruwita / Tasmania free from sexual violence where safety, respect and consent is upheld.

SASS offers a wide range of services, including free and confidential counselling, case management, crisis support, advocacy, and education. We provide statewide services aimed at young people including Consent and Relationships Education (CaRE) Program, ELEVATE: Understanding and Responding to Sexual Harm, and PAST (Prevention, Assessment, Support and Treatment of Harmful Sexual Behaviours) program, ensuring that our impact extends beyond crisis intervention to long-term cultural and systemic change.
