As the business ramps up this unique truck and shovel operation, Pivot is engaged to find a two Mine Surveyors to join the site team on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster rotation.
About the Role
This is a site-based role central to the accuracy and integrity of the mine's spatial and volumetric data. You will be responsible for day-to-day survey requirements across the pit, including pickups, volumetric surveys, stockpile reconciliations, and as-built verification, working closely with the mining engineering and grade control teams to keep short and medium term plans grounded in accurate, up-to-date survey data. You'll play a key role supporting the site through its ramp-up phase, where accurate survey turnaround directly underpins production and planning decisions.
About You
You bring solid site experience as a mine surveyor within an open cut truck and shovel environment, and you're confident managing the full survey workflow from field pickup through to data processing and reporting. You're motivated by the chance to be part of a business in genuine growth mode, backed by a strong,
established senior leadership team, and you're comfortable with the rhythm and demands of an 8/6 roster.
Key Requirements
Relevant qualification in Mine Surveying or Spatial Science
Site experience as a surveyor within a truck and shovel open cut operation
Proficiency with survey systems and software
Strong understanding of volumetric surveying, stockpile reconciliation, and grade control support
Ability to work closely with mining engineering, technical services and operations teams
Robust attention to detail and data accuracy under production time pressure
