We are seeking a motivated Graduate or Mid-Level Waste Engineer to join our Brisbane team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of waste management, civil, and environmental infrastructure projects, with an initial focus on waste management infrastructure including landfills, recycling facilities, and waste transfer stations. You will work alongside experienced engineers and environmental professionals, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle from planning and design through to construction and operational support. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their technical skills while building practical site and project delivery experience.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with and undertaking construction supervision, quality assurance and site compliance activities
- Conducting field investigations, inspections, audits and condition assessments
- Supporting feasibility studies, option assessments and project evaluations
- Providing technical input into landfill and containment system design projects, including earthworks, landfill cell development, leachate and stormwater management systems, and evaporation ponds
- Assisting in the design and assessment of waste transfer stations and recycling facilities
- Supporting environmental approvals, permitting and regulatory compliance activities
- Preparing tender documentation, including technical specifications, scope of works and bills of quantities
- Road and pavement designs and rehabilitation strategies
- Assisting with tender evaluation and procurement processes
- Preparing technical reports, engineering calculations and supporting documentation

About you

- A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline




- A willingness to undertake fieldwork and travel to regional project sites when required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical reporting skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- An interest in waste management infrastructure and environmental engineering
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar engineering design software
