Your day to day
This is an ongoing position, commencing 2027.
As the Head of Learning Area - Religious Education, you embed exemplary teaching and learning across your learning area, aligned with the Vision for Learning and in respect of Catholic teachings to optimise the learning outcomes for all students.
Your day will look like:
- being a leader and a role model of the College's values for your team, students and peers
- effectively managing the Religious Education department and leading the team
- understanding and embedding contemporary teaching and learning across the department and in the wider College community to provide opportunities for student achievement at all levels
- supporting, mentoring and guiding your team to be exemplary specialist teachers
- building strong relationships based on mutual respect with members of the community
- actively supporting Catholic identity and the development of faith
- being innovative and implementing positive change
Skills & experience
- a tertiary teaching qualification and TRBWA registration
- a current Working with Children registration
- to be a practicing Catholic and be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education
- to be working toward or have completed Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School
