Peace is seeking a Permanent Fulltime Year 7 to 12 English Teacher who has experience in teaching General English and English Literature

Permanent Full-Time position commencing January 2027 (Part-Time Hours Considered)

Peace Lutheran College (Peace) is a co-educational Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school located in beautiful Cairns in tropical North Queensland. About the Role

The College is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher to join the Secondary School teaching team in 2027. This role is vital in nurturing a love of English and literature among our Secondary School students and offers a fantastic chance for both experienced educators and enthusiastic new graduates to make a positive impact on students' lives.





The successful applicant will be passionate about delivering a quality and engaging language learning experience to our Secondary School students and be able to demonstrate their capacity and willingness to engage with the Christian ethos of our College.

Criteria:

- Experience teaching English to Secondary Students
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification and current teaching registration
- Experience in the provision of quality relevant curriculum programs
- A sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum
- Highly developed classroom teaching skills
- Commitment to upholding Christian values and ethos
- Ability to work in a team to achieve identified outcomes and sustained performance
- Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, time management and organisational skills
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia to be considered for this position
