about the role
Reporting to the Mental Health Education Program Manager, in this role, you will coordinate the design, development, piloting and implementation planning of two national Community Awareness and Engagement (CAE) workshop packages that strengthen local mental health promotion. Drawing on expertise in educational design, facilitation, stakeholder engagement and evaluation, you will help create evidence-informed resources that build awareness of headspace services, reduce stigma, improve accessibility and support communities to better respond to youth mental health and wellbeing needs.
Working closely with young people, families, priority population representatives, CAE Workers and headspace stakeholders, you will ensure the workshops reflect community needs while aligning with the headspace Model and best-practice mental health promotion.
You will also lead the development of a national training package and implementation framework to support CAE Workers to deliver the workshops confidently and consistently across Australia.
what you'll bring
- Tertiary qualification relevant to health promotion, mental health, education, public health, community development, social sciences or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience designing and developing educational programs, workshops or training resources
- Facilitating consultation and co-design processes with young people and community stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of mental health promotion principles and community engagement approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience collecting, analysing and using evaluation data to inform program development.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
