As a Campus Life Coordinator,you'llbe a visible and approachable presence at our Surry Hills campus, helping students and staff get the most from their campus experience. Reporting to the Campus Director,you'lldeliver campus activities, support studentengagementand help ensure the campus is accessible,collaborativeand welcoming.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys turning ideas into action-from setting up spaces and supporting events to coordinating communications,Orientationand student activities.You'llalso playan important rolein monitoring campus WHS matters andcoordinatingthe Campus WHS Committee, including volunteer First Aiders,Wardensand Mental Health First Aiders.

What You'll Do
You'll help bring our campus activation strategy to life while supporting a positive, student-centredexperience for everyone who studies,worksand visits at Surry Hills.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate campus activities for students, industry and staff, including events, campus tours, studentactivitiesand Information Sessions.
- Be a visible and engaged point of contact on campus, providing support to students and staff and helping resolve issues where needed.
- Coordinate Orientation activities,
including hosting the International Student Welcome session and supporting international students through drop-in sessions and guidance.
- Work with Campus Directors, Program Directors and accommodation providers to support the welfare,attendanceand academic progress of international students under 18, in line with ESOS requirements and relevant procedures.
- Work closely with the SRC, supporting student-ledinitiativesandprovidingpractical guidance.
- Coordinate staff and student communications on campus, including newsletters, signage,noticesand digital displays.
- Monitor WHS matters across campus, support workplace inspections,maintainriskinformationand help raise awareness of health,safetyand security requirements.
- Lead andcoordinatethe Campus WHS Committee, including volunteer First Aiders,Wardensand Mental Health First Aiders.
- Support the Property and Facilities team and National HSS Manager with safety and security initiatives, including relevant systems,proceduresand campus awareness activities.
Skills & Experience
Must Have
- Experience ina front-of-house, customer service, hospitality or customer experience role; experience in a campus or higher education workplace is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for helping people and creating a welcoming,accessibleand student-centredexperience.
- A visible, hands-on approach and the confidence to get involved in setting up spaces, supportingeventsand delivering initiatives.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, academicteamsand external partners.
- The ability to work autonomously,
take ownership and use initiative while also following direction and established procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to schedule andprioritiseeffectively, manage competingprioritiesand remain responsive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong administration and attention to detail.
- Availability to work in line with campus operating hours, including occasional out-of-hours or weekend work whenrequired.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge or experience in workplace health and safety, riskmanagementor campus safety processes.
- Current First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain it.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or another CRM/customer management platform.
