Founded in 2018, earLAB is an independent private audiology and ear health practice with clinics in Richmond and Footscray, Melbourne. We provide a broad range of audiological and ear health services to clients aged 10 years and over, with a strong commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for every client. We're not your average healthcare provider. Our work sits at the intersection of audiology, ear health, hearing technology, hearing protection, music and workplace hearing conservation. As the exclusive distributor of ACS Custom products in Australia and New Zealand, we also work with musicians, performers, sound engineers, industry professionals and people who require high-performance custom hearing protection and custom in-ear monitors. We are now looking for an exceptional Audiologist to join our experienced and supportive team.

The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Part-Time or Full-Time Audiologist, working across our Richmond and Footscray clinics. Immediate start available. This role is ideally suited to an experienced clinician who enjoys variety, values clinical independence and is passionate about providing genuinely patient-centred care. At earLAB, your role won't be limited to hearing tests and hearing aids. Our scope of practice is broad, giving you the prospect to develop your skills across a diverse range of audiology and ear health services.

What You’ll Do

- Conducting comprehensive hearing assessments for clients aged 10 years and over
- Conducting audiological assessments,



diagnosis and development of individualised management plans
- Providing bespoke hearing and communication solutions based on each client's needs, lifestyle and goals
- Fitting, programming, fine-tuning and managing hearing aids and other hearing devices
- Conducting ear health assessments, including video otoscopy
- Performing aural microsuction and ear wax management
- Providing custom hearing protection solutions for individuals and workplaces
- Taking ear impressions for custom hearing protection and custom in-ear monitors (CIEMs)
- Working with musicians, performers, sound engineers and other professionals who rely on their hearing
- Working with DVA, private and insurance-funded clients
- Educating clients and the wider community about hearing health and hearing loss prevention
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and high-quality clinical documentation
- Referring clients to GPs, ENT specialists, allied health professionals and other healthcare providers when appropriate
- Collaborating with educators, allied health professionals, community organisations and workplace health professionals
- Contributing to hearing conservation programs and initiatives across different industries
- Engaging with the community to promote hearing health, prevention and accessible ear care
- Keeping up to date with advances in audiology, hearing technology and evidence-based clinical practice

About You





- A recognised qualification in Audiology
- Full membership with Audiology Australia or an equivalent professional body
- A current Clinical Certificate of Practice
- Clinical experience as an Audiologist
- Experience conducting hearing assessments, diagnostics and treatment planning
- Experience with hearing aid fitting, programming and hearing technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and provide effective counselling
- A genuine commitment to patient-centred care and achieving the best possible outcomes
- The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Initiative and a willingness to contribute ideas and continuously improve the services we provide
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice

Experience in the following areas is highly regarded

- Aural microsuction / manual ear wax removal
- Custom hearing protection
- Ear impression taking
- Custom in-ear monitors (CIEMs)
- Hearing conservation programs
- DVA services
- Insurance-funded services
- Working with musicians, performers or people working in high-noise environments

Don't have experience in all of these areas? That's okay. Our scope at earLAB is varied, and training and support will be provided to help you develop your skills in areas such as aural microsuction, custom hearing protection, CIEMs and ear impression taking.
