Our client is an award-winning not-for-profit aged care provider, specialising in providing sensitive aged care for the elderly. To ensure they continue to provide a superior level of service and care to their elders, they are seeking an experienced and compassionate Rostering Specialist to join their busy Clayton Residential Facility.
About the Role:
In this vital role, you will ensure our client’s elderly residents receive continuous, high-quality care by maintaining seamless, efficient, and compliant staff rosters.
As part of a trusted not-for-profit organization, your work directly supports their mission to enrich the lives of older Australians.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimise the master roster to balance resident care needs with operational efficiency.
Coordinate and manage day-to-day rosters for both permanent part-time and casual care staff.
Proactively manage shift vacancies, unplanned absences, and leave coverage using our internal staff pool and casual roster.
Ensure all rosters adhere to relevant modern awards,
Enterprise Agreements (EAs), and legislative ratios within the aged care sector.
Act as the primary point of contact for staff regarding shift inquiries, availability changes, and scheduling concerns.
Your Profile:
Proven previous experience as a Rostering Coordinator, essential within the aged care, healthcare, or community services sector.
Demonstrated expertise in building and managing master rosters and handling complex scheduling for mixed workforces (permanent part-time and casual staff).
Familiarity with up-to-date awards and compliance standards in Australian aged care.
Strong computer literacy, with experience using electronic rostering or care management software.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a warm, empathetic communication style.
