Weston Workers Club

Weston

This is more than running a busy Bistro service. It’s an opportunity to take ownership of one of the most important parts of the Weston Workers Club experience.

As our Bistro Front of House Manager , you’ll be the driving force behind the Bistro floor — leading the team, creating a outstanding atmosphere and making sure every member and guest walks away feeling genuinely looked after.

You’ll have the freedom to lead from the front, develop your team and continually look for ways to make the Bistro better. From the way we welcome a regular on a Wednesday night to how we handle a packed Friday service, you’ll set the tone for what great hospitality looks like.

Working closely with our Head Chef and Venue Management team, you’ll help bring Front of House and Kitchen together as one operation. You’ll have a voice in how the Bistro evolves, identify opportunities to improve the member experience and build a team that takes real pride in what they do.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just run the shift — we want someone who wants to own the experience .

About the role

This is more than running a busy Bistro service. It’s an opportunity to take ownership of one of the most important parts of the Weston Workers Club experience.

As our Bistro Front of House Manager , you’ll be the driving force behind the Bistro floor — leading the team, creating a great atmosphere and making sure every member and guest walks away feeling genuinely looked after.

You’ll have a voice in how the Bistro evolves,

identify opportunities to improve the member experience and build a team that takes real pride in what they do.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just run the shift — we want someone who wants to own the experience .

What you’ll bring to the role

- Leadership that people want to follow. You’ll build a confident, capable Front of House team with clear expectations, great communication and a strong service culture.
- A genuine passion for hospitality. You understand that great service isn’t scripted — it’s remembering names, reading the room and making people feel welcome.
- Ownership of the Bistro experience. You’ll take pride in everything our members see and experience, from presentation and atmosphere through to service standards and the way challenges are handled.
- A strong partnership with the kitchen. You’ll work closely with our Head Chef to create a seamless connection between Front of House and Back of House.
- An eye for improvement. We want someone who notices opportunities, brings ideas to the table and isn’t afraid to challenge "the way we’ve always done it."
- Calm under pressure. When the Bistro is pumping, the specials have sold out and everyone seems to arrive at once, you’ll be the person the team looks to.
- High standards. You’ll take ownership of the operational, food safety, compliance and financial standards that underpin a professionally run Bistro.
- A focus on developing people. You’ll coach new employees, grow the capability of existing team members and help create future hospitality leaders within the Club.

You’ll report to our Venue Manager and have the support of a wider management team that wants to see the Bistro continue to grow and evolve.

About you

You’ve probably led a team through a seriously busy service before — whether that’s been in a club, pub, restaurant, hotel or another high-volume hospitality environment.

You’re comfortable making decisions, giving direction and getting your hands dirty when needed, but you also understand that great leadership isn’t about trying to do everything yourself.

You genuinely like people. You’ll get to know our regulars, recognise the faces that come through every week and understand that for many of our members, the Club is their place.

You’ll also have:

- Previous hospitality leadership or supervisory experience
- A current NSW RSA Competency Card, or willingness to obtain one
- NSW Food Safety Supervisor certification, or willingness to obtain it within your first month
- The ability to work across a seven-day rotating roster
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead a diverse team
- A genuine desire to make your venue, your team and your member experience better

About Weston Workers Club

Weston Workers Club has been part of the local community for generations, and today around 5,000 members call our Club theirs.

We’re proud of our history, but we’re far more interested in where we’re going next.

Our Bistro is a major part of the Club and an important part of our members’ experience. We have a busy venue, a great team and plenty of opportunity to keep raising the bar.

We’re looking for someone who wants to put their own stamp on it.

If you’re ready to take ownership of a Bistro, build a great team and create the kind of hospitality experience people come back for, we’d love to hear from you.
