Metro Steel Windows is looking for an experienced, commercially driven salesperson to play a key role in the next stage of our growth.

You’ll work closely with our established team, converting enquiries, building strong client relationships and driving profitable sales acrossresidential and commercial projects .

Experience in architectural products, windows and doors, building materials, construction, interiors or other design-led industries is valuable, but not essential.We are equally interested in proven salespeople who can learn a technical product and communicate confidently with discerning clients.

With increased investment in advertising and lead generation, this role offers the opportunity to build a robust pipeline and directly influence both Metro’s growth and your own earnings.

What you’ll be doing

- Responding to and qualifying new enquiries.

- Building relationships with homeowners, architects, designers, builders and commercial clients.

- Understanding project requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.

- Managing opportunities from enquiry through quotation, follow-up and conversion.

- Proactively following up quotes and progressing clients toward a decision.

- Re-engaging previous enquiries and identifying new opportunities.

- Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and clear follow-up schedule.

- Working closely with the Metro team to deliver a knowledgeable and responsive client experience.

- Achieving strong sales results while protecting pricing, margin and the Metro brand.

What we’re looking for

You may have experience selling:

- Architectural or specification-led products.

- Windows, doors, glazing or building products.

- Kitchens, interiors, joinery or other premium design products.

- High-value products or solutions to homeowners, architects, designers or builders.





- Products across residential and commercial markets.

More importantly, you will:

- Have a demonstrated ability to convert enquiries into sales.

- Follow up consistently and professionally.

- Be comfortable asking for the sale and progressing decisions.

- Build trust with clients making significant purchasing decisions.

- Communicate confidently without relying on high-pressure tactics.

- Be organised and capable of managing multiple opportunities.

- Understand the importance of profitable sales and protecting margin.

- Be motivated by performance-based earnings and business growth.

Flexible working arrangement

This role offers a predominantlywork-from-home arrangement , while remaining closely connected to the Metro team.

You will need to be within practical travelling distance of Metro and available to attend the office, client meetings or other in-person activities when required. As a general guide, office attendance will be approximately1–2 times per month , with additional attendance where reasonably necessary.

Although the role is flexible, our sales team works closely together throughout the day. Strong communication, collaboration and maintaining positive team relationships are important parts of the role.

Remuneration and earning potential

The indicative package includes:

- $75,000–$85,000 base salary plus superannuation , depending on experience.

- Uncapped, tiered commission on eligible sales.

- Increasing commission opportunity as sales performance grows.

- Potential to earn$150,000+ per annum for strong, consistent performance.
