Reputable Pressure Vessel inspection and testing company in QLD seeking a pressure vessel in-service or mechanical engineer to join our growing company
The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting inspections of pressure vessels, boilers, piping systems and associated plant, preparing technical reports, assessing equipment integrity and assisting clients with compliance requirements. Training will be provided for the potential candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in-service inspections of pressure vessels, boilers and associated equipment
- Assess equipment condition and compliance with relevant standards and legislation
- Prepare detailed inspection and engineering reports
- Identify defects, corrosion and integrity concerns
- Liaise with clients and provide practical recommendations
- Travel to client sites throughout Queensland as required
About you
- Mechanical Engineering degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or equivalent technical qualification
- Experience with pressure vessel, boiler or mechanical equipment inspections
- Robust technical report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage inspections from start to finish
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Current driver's licence
- Experience as Fitter/Turner and Fitter/Welder will also be considered favourable
- AICIP certification highly regarded
- Knowledge of AS/NZS 3788 and related standards highly regarded
