This multidisciplinary mental health and social and emotional wellbeing service provides culturally safe, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care with a strong focus on supporting First Nations peoples and communities.
This service is committed to delivering specialist healing services and works closely with consumers, carers and communities to provide culturally grounded and responsive mental health support. The organisation maintains nationally recognised quality and mental health standards and supports clinicians through ongoing professional supervision and workforce development programs.
Position Description
This position provides therapeutic services across a variety of referral pathways and programs for children, adolescents and adults.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individual and group-based therapeutic counselling and healing services.
- Providing face-to-face, outreach and telehealth services as appropriate.
- Conducting assessments, care planning, reviews and report writing.
- Delivering culturally appropriate and responsive therapeutic services.
- Managing a caseload within a supervised and supported multidisciplinary team environment.
- Building collaborative relationships with communities, stakeholders and service providers.
- Participating in quality improvement activities to maintain high standards of care.
Position Requirements
- Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist or Occupational Therapist (Mental Health/Better Access Endorsed), or accreditation as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW).
- Current AHPRA or AASW registration.
- Current driver's licence.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment screening including Criminal History, Blue Card and Queensland Disability Worker Screening/NDIS Worker Screening requirements.
- Experience working with, or willingness to engage and work with, First Nations families and communities.
