Orange Electrical is a growing electrical contracting business delivering quality electrical services across commercial, residential and maintenance projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Supervisor Electrician to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an electrician who is ready to take the next step, enjoys leading a team and takes pride in getting jobs completed properly, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Role

As a Supervisor Electrician, you’ll be responsible for overseeing electricians and apprentices on site, coordinating day-to-day works and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

You’ll be working closely with our management team and will play an important role in keeping jobs moving, supporting the team and maintaining strong relationships with our customers.

The role is hands-on and will involve carrying out electrical work as a core part of the position. As you establish yourself within the business and demonstrate your capability, there will also be an opportunity to progressively take on more responsibility away from the tools and assist with areas such as:

- Site walkthroughs and inspections
- Scheduling and coordinating works
- General project and service coordination
- Supporting the management team with day-to-day operational requirements

This provides a genuine pathway for the right person to develop their career and progressively move into a broader supervisory, project and management role.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and lead electricians and apprentices on site
- Coordinate daily works and allocate tasks to the team




- Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and electrical specifications
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide practical solutions
- Carry out hands-on electrical work as a core part of the role
- Ensure materials, tools and equipment are organised and available
- Communicate with customers, builders, contractors and other trades
- Monitor job progress and identify issues before they become problems
- Ensure job notes, photos and required documentation are completed accurately
- Assist with variations and identifying additional works
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and presentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, regulations and company procedures
- Support apprentices and less experienced team members with their development
- Progressively assist with quotations, site inspections, scheduling and project coordination as the role develops

About You

- We’re looking for someone who is:
- A fully qualified electrician with a current QLD electrical licence
- Experienced in supervising or leading a team
- Confident working independently and making decisions on site




- A strong communicator who can deal professionally with customers and other trades
- Organised and able to manage multiple jobs and priorities
- Experienced with SimPro
- Reliable, punctual and takes ownership of their work
- Quality-focused with strong attention to detail
- Practical and solution-focused
- Comfortable using technology, job management systems and completing job documentation
- Someone who leads by example and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty
- Interested in developing their skills and taking on greater responsibility over time
