Grants Manager Independent Review Office
Clerk Grade: Clerk Grade 7/8
Employment Type: Multiple roles available including Temporary (fixed-term) and Ongoing opportunities
Location: Darlinghurst NSW (hybrid). You’ll be office-based at least 5 days per fortnight for full time roles (pro-rata for part-time), with the remaining days worked flexibly as agreed.
About the role
The Independent Review Office (IRO) is seeking a motivatedand customer-focused IRO Grants Manager to administer and manage grantand funding programs so as to achieve the intended outcomes for injured workersacross New South Wales.
Working within the Legal Assistance, Policy & Strategyteam, you will play a critical role in delivering grant and funding programsthrough rigorous, transparent and accountable processes. Administer the IROgrant and funding programs in line with IRO Funding Guidelines, relevantworkers compensation legislation and the NSW Grants Administration Guide toachieve intended outcomes for injured workers.

What you'll do
- AdministerIRO grant and funding programs in accordance with the IRO FundingGuidelines, relevant legislation and the NSW Grants Administration Guide.
- Assessgrant and funding applications against eligibility and assessment criteriato support fair,
consistent and transparent decision-making.
- Monitorfunded grants and recipient compliance, including financial, performanceand risk reporting requirements.
- Preparereports, briefs and recommendations to support program oversight andsenior decision-making.
- Buildproductive relationships with applicants, funding recipients, communitypartners and other stakeholders.
- Engageand build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersincluding applicants, recipients and community partners to provideguidance, support and ensure quality grant administration, reporting andoutcomes.
- Contributeto the design, review and continuous improvement of grant and fundingprograms.
Identify,manage and elevate risks, issues and non-compliance to support programintegrity.
- Maintainaccurate records, data and evidence based reporting to meet governance,audit and accountability requirements.
What we're looking for
You will bring:
- Experienceadministering grants, funding programs, compliance, regulatory, governanceor similar programs.
- Stronganalytical and assessment skills, with the ability to apply guidelines,policies and legislation consistently and objectively which will bereflected in your decisions
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, including experience preparingreports, recommendations and stakeholder correspondence.
- Provenability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintainattention to detail in a high-volume environment.
- Strongstakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productiverelationships and provide high-quality customer service.
- Demonstratedability to identify risks,
solve problems and contribute to continuousimprovement initiatives.
- Acommitment to integrity, accountability, fairness and delivering positiveoutcomes for the community.

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role startingat $ base plus superannuation
