KARI Foundation is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist (Level 3) to join our multidisciplinary team.KARI Foundation is a respected Aboriginal organisation committed to empowering children, families, andcommunities through holistic, family-centred services.KARI Clinic is a key service within KARI Foundation based in Liverpool in Sydney SouthWest, and provides culturally safe and strengthsbased support for Aboriginal children and youngpeople in Out-of-Home Care and the wider community.

A Unique Partnership with NSW Health

This position is part of a unique partnership between KARI Foundation and the Paediatric OccupationalTherapy team at Liverpool Hospital. The role offers access to professional supervision and clinicalsupport,



as well as opportunities to work collaboratively across hospital and community settings to improve outcomes for Aboriginal children and their families.

Are You the Right Fit?

As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Level 3), you will provide advanced evidence-based assessment and intervention services to children aged 0-18 years and their families/carers. You will work closely with amultidisciplinary team including Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Nurses and Caseworkers to deliver holistic care that supports participation, independence and overall wellbeing.

The role will include:

- Comprehensive developmental and functional assessments Individualised intervention planning
- Individualised intervention planning
- Culturally appropriate, trauma?informed clinical care
- Working across clinic, school, and community environments
- Collaborative goal setting with children, carers and families
- Consultation and education with schools and caregivers
- Participation in multidisciplinary care planningClinical leadership and mentoring opportunities
- Clinical leadership and mentoring opportunities
- Contribution to service innovation and continuous improvement

Selection Criteria

- This is a Targeted Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Position. If you identify as Aboriginal and/ or Torres Strait Islander, tell us about your mob and connection to culture. If this does not apply to you, please indicate by answering with ?N/A?.
- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, and current Occupational Therapy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills in the assessment, planning,



implementation and evaluation of occupational therapy interventions for children and young people aged 0?18 years.
- Demonstrated knowledge and or experience in the Occupational Therapy management of Aboriginal children and children in Out of Home Care (OOHC).
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or students.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P2). Those who hold a C class license (P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses and P1 are not permitted.
