About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Resource Coordinator to join our growing Rail team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the allocation of rail personnel across multiple projects, ensuring client requirements are met while maintaining compliance, productivity, and workforce availability. The role will also have a strong quoting component, supporting the preparation of accurate and competitive quotes for rail projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has robust communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the day-to-day allocation of rail personnel across projects and rosters.
- Manage workforce scheduling and resourcing to meet operational requirements.
- Liaise with clients, supervisors, project managers, and field employees regarding workforce needs.
- Monitor workforce availability, leave requests, and shift coverage.
- Ensure all personnel hold current competencies, inductions, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate workforce records and scheduling systems.
- Assist with recruitment coordination, onboarding, and mobilisation of new personnel.
- Respond to short-notice staffing requests and operational changes.
- Provide resource planning support to management.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees and clients.
- Prepare and submit detailed quotes for rail and infrastructure works, accurately calculating labour, hours, allowances, equipment, and other project costs.
- Track submitted quotes and tenders, follow up with clients, and maintain accurate records of quoting activity and outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Experience within the rail,



construction, infrastructure, mining, or labour hire industry is highly regarded.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands in a dynamic environment.
- Strong numerical and commercial awareness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using scheduling, rostering, quoting, or workforce management systems would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
