About the role

You'll be responsible for helping customers choose the right paints, colours and products for their projects, while providing excellent service and maintaining a well-presented paint department.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting retail and trade customers with paint and product selection

- Driving sales across department with prep, paint and accessories

- Providing advice on colours, finishes and application

- Mixing and tinting paint accurately

- Processing sales and operating the point-of-sale system

- Keeping the paint department clean, organised and well stocked

- Ordering, receiving and replenishing stock

- Driving promotions in store with merchandising displays

- Building positive relationships with customers, tradies, suppliers and our Mitre 10 team

About you





- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Reliable, enthusiastic and well presented

- Enjoys working with people

- Strong interest in paint, decorating, DIY or home improvement

- Can work independently as well as part of a team

- Previous paint or hardware experience (preferred, but not essential for the right candidate)
