We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team in Cabramatta, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within our kitchen brigade. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing a specific section of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and quality are maintained. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our kitchen and plays a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and supervise your assigned kitchen section, maintaining organisation and cleanliness at all times
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and plating standards
- Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation across all service periods
- Train, mentor and provide guidance to junior kitchen staff within your section
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient requirements to maintain workflow efficiency
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards and HACCP procedures
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other Chef de Partie to ensure coordinated service delivery
- Manage mise en place preparation and station setup for each service
- Identify opportunities for menu development and cost efficiency within your section
- Respond promptly to service challenges and adapt to kitchen demands during peak periods

What we’re looking for

- A qualification or diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in a professional kitchen environment




- Proven experience leading a kitchen section as a Chef de Partie or in a similar supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in a wide range of cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Strong communication and team leadership skills with the capacity to train and motivate junior staff
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high presentation standards
- Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative cooking methods
- A flexible approach to work schedules, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
