About the work unit / facility:
The Townsville Community Care and Aquired Brain Injury Unit (TCCU/AIB) provides specialist rehabilitaion and therapeutic programs for consumers with enduring mental illness. Based at Kirwan Health Campus, the 34-place unit provides a safe, structured environment focused on recovery.

About your opportunity:
Join TCCU/AIB as a Rehabilitation Assistant, working within a multidiciplinary team to support consumers with enduring mental illness through speacialist rehabilitation and therapeutic programs. You will provide safe, recovery-focused support, assist consumers to implement individual recovery plans and encourage participation in daily living and community-based activities. Using your mental health knowledge and communication skills, you will contribute to care that promotes independence and recovery.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Mental Health Work (non-clinical) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Possession of a Class C drivers licence.
- May be required to work in other areas of the Mental Health Service Group.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
