This full time position will be working with our Council clients across the Northwest suburbs . In this role you will have the opportunity to assist with mentoring a team.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Landscape - Overseeing the Softscape portion of Landscape builds
- Perform regular horticultural maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising
- Planning and ordering Plants and trees
- Maintain ornamental gardens, hedges, lawns, and feature planting areas to premium presentation standard
- Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and irrigation systems safely and effectively
- Assist in seasonal planting, turf renovation, and landscape improvement projects
- Identify and treat plant pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
- Work collaboratively with grounds and facilities staff to support school events and operational needs

You have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Landscape Construction and excellent working knowledge of all of the tools and equipment used in the field, such as hedgers, whipper snippers, blowers, hand tools and some petrol operated equipment.

You must hold a valid Manual Drivers licence (an MR licence is highly desirable)

You are willing to obtain a White Card, Police Check and Working with Children's check if you don't already have them.

Most importantly you have proven ability to effectively prioritise workflows, impart knowledge to others and be a mature and reliable team player.
