The Opportunity
As a Nipper, you’ll play a vital underground support role, working alongside underground production and development crews to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, this is a physically demanding and fast-paced role that provides a solid foundation and genuine pathway to underground operator roles.

Skills & Qualifications
- Previous underground mining experience as a Nipper or Truck Driver
- Physically fit and experience working in physically challenging environments
- Strong safety focus and compliance mindset
- Commitment to teamwork, accountability and robust communication skills
- Current manual Driver’s License
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights
- Able to provide a satisfactory National Polick Clearance
About the Role
- Supporting underground crews through equipment delivery, waste removal, ground support and general assistance
- Off-siding Jumbo operators with ground support tasks such as bolting, meshing, heading setup, and service crew activities, as required
- Completing pre-starts, identifying & reporting hazards and ensuring excellent housekeeping
- Ensuring fitness-for-work on all rostered days and contributing to a strong safety culture
