The Opportunity
As a the Structures leader in transport infrastructure delivery, you will have led the planning, design and execution of projects across Queensland. This is a pivotal role for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects.
You will be accountable for the successful delivery of Structures elements within transport infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, safety standards, and strategic business outcomes — while the immediate leading of multidisciplinary design teams isn't a requiremenet a background in mentoring and team leadership will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- • Lead delivery of Structures on transport projects, predominantly road and highway focused
- • Manage project budgets and financial performance, ensuring profitability and margin protection
- • Drive work-winning efforts including bid strategy, proposal development, commercial positioning, and direct client engagement to secure new major project opportunities
- • Establish and maintain robust systems for risk management, compliance, and project governance
- • Drive client-centric practices and maintain exceptional client relationships at the executive level
- • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and contractors
What You Bring
- • 10+ years’ experience within Structures on transport infrastructure projects, with proven success delivering from concept through to completion within a consultancy environment
- • Experience delivering Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects
- • Demonstrated capability leading multi-disciplinary design teams
- • Expertise managing large-scale budgets and interpreting financial statements
- • Strong leadership in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
- • Deep understanding of public and private sector processes and client-side engagement
- • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent — RPEQ preferred
- Strong commiunication and buisness development skills
