We are working with a well-established electrical contractor delivering major projects across rail infrastructure, station upgrades, infrastructure and large-scale commercial D&C; projects . With a solid pipeline of secured and upcoming work, they are looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Estimator / Estimating Manager to lead their estimating function.

To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

- 10+ years' experience within electrical estimating
- Previous experience leading or overseeing 2-3 estimators
- Strong electrical contracting background
- Experience estimating rail infrastructure, station upgrades, infrastructure and/or large commercial D&C; projects
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methodologies, scopes and project requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to liaise with senior management, clients and project teams




- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front

You will be responsible for:

- Leading and overseeing a team of 2-3 Electrical Estimators
- Managing the end-to-end tender and estimating process
- Reviewing and preparing detailed electrical tenders and pricing
- Reviewing estimates, take-offs, scopes, subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Ensuring tenders are commercially competitive and accurately priced
- Providing guidance, mentoring and technical support to junior and intermediate estimators
- Managing tender submissions and ensuring deadlines are met
- Identifying project risks, exclusions, variations and commercial opportunities
- Working closely with Project Managers, Directors, clients and key stakeholders
- Attending tender interviews and client meetings where required
- Contributing to estimating strategy and improving internal processes
- Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients
- Supporting the business with upcoming project opportunities and pipeline forecasting

This is a key position within the business, suited to an experienced estimator who enjoys being hands-on with tenders while also providing leadership, guidance and oversight to a small estimating team.
