Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages distribution networks, transmission pipelines and storage capacity. AGIG recently grew to over 1200 employees. We also manage a large contractor workforce, who provide both specialist and operating and maintenance services on AGIG’s gas distribution networks.

About the opportunity
AGIG is seeking a Principal EC&I; Engineer (Project Management) to lead the delivery of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I;) Stay-in-Business (SIB) projects across AGIG assets. This senior role will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are safely delivered, meet operational requirements, and comply with engineering standards, asset integrity, and regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of EC&I; SIB projects from concept and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Provide technical oversight of electrical and control system designs, ensuring compliance with standards, safety requirements, and asset integrity obligations.
- Collaborate with PMO, maintenance teams, and vendors to achieve project outcomes, operational requirements, and business objectives.
- Support project execution by providing engineering guidance, resolving technical issues, and driving quality assurance activities.
- Manage project governance, budgets, forecasts, and Management of Change (MoC) requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
