XXL Constructions is a growing Brisbane builder delivering industrial, commercial, and residential projects from concept to completion. Our work ranges from fit-outs and make-good works through to multi-million-dollar industrial builds and engineered steel structures.

We’re looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take ownership of projects from estimating handover through to practical completion, handover and defects close-out.

This is a hands-on role with real autonomy, with the benefit of plenty of support. You’ll have direct access to the directors and work closely with estimating, administration, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects commercially sound, well run and moving forward.

What you’ll own

- Project programme, budget, cost-to-complete and margin
- Subcontractor procurement, coordination and performance
- Progress claims, variations and contract administration
- Design, engineering, approvals and consultant coordination
- Site safety, quality and compliance
- Client and stakeholder relationships
- Practical completion, handover and defects
- Direction and support of supervisors and site teams
- Early identification and resolution of project and commercial risks

You won’t be buried under layers of management. We expect our Project Managers to take ownership, make decisions and communicate clearly, with support available when they need it.

Key skills and experience required

You’ll be someone who knows how to run a construction project properly and takes pride in the outcome. You'll bring the following key skills and experience

- Experience delivering commercial,



industrial or residential projects end-to-end
- Strong commercial awareness and construction contract administration skills
- Confidence managing subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- The ability to read architectural, structural and shop drawings
- Working knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and Queensland WHS requirements
- Strong organisation, judgement and problem-solving skills
- Explicit, practical communication
- Current White Card and C-class driver licence

A QBCC Site Supervisor licence and/or trade, engineering or construction management qualification would be advantageous.
