The Role

As Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key senior finance leadership role with responsibility for the integrity of the Group's financial reporting, statutory compliance, financial control environment, treasury and core finance operations.

Key duties will include (but not be limited to):

- Lead, develop and mentor a finance team of 4 direct and 9 indirect reports
- Lead Group financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, annual and consolidated reporting across all entities
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, balance sheet and financial data
- Lead the Group financial control framework, ensuring robust controls, governance and financial integrity across the organisation




- Oversee treasury, cash flow, liquidity, working capital, banking arrangements and associated financial risk and controls
- Lead statutory reporting and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and Group policies
- Provide high-quality financial analysis, advice and reporting to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team
- Provide leadership and oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, driving effective working capital management, controls and process improvement
- Partner with senior stakeholders on key business initiatives, providing financial insight and support to commercial decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems (including AI projects), controls and reporting, improving efficiency and effectiveness across the Group
- Partner with the Tax Manager, providing financial information and support across tax governance and compliance requirements

Your Background

In order to be considered for this Group Financial Controller role you will meet the following criteria:

- Be professionally qualified (e.g. CA, ACA or equivalent)
- Ideally commenced your career within an audit firm, providing a strong grounding in technical accounting, financial reporting and controls
- Experience within a multi-entity or Group environment
- Strong technical accounting, statutory reporting, consolidation and Group financial control experience
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, treasury, audit, financial governance and internal control requirements
- Strong people leadership experience, with the ability to develop finance teams and influence senior stakeholders across the organisation
- ERP and finance systems capability with experience driving process improvements
- Excellent analytical capability, commercial judgement, communication and stakeholder management skills
