As we continue to grow, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to ensure our operations remain compliant, safe and industry-leading.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening compliance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements,



NHVR accreditation standards and Work Health & Safety obligations across our national operations.

This is a highly visible role that works closely with Operations, State Managers, Subcontractors, Customers and Executive Leadership to drive a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage compliance programs across the organisation, ensuring adherence to HVNL, CoR and WHS requirements.
- Develop and coordinate internal and subcontractor audit programs.
- Maintain and continuously improve NHVR maintenance accreditation requirements.
- Conduct compliance investigations, incident reporting and root cause analysis.
- Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks and compliance education programs.
- Review, develop and implement policies, procedures and operational standards.
- Provide compliance reporting, insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Work with operations teams to resolve compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support State Managers and the Sales Team with compliance-related customer requirements.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, customers and other key stakeholders as required.




- Promote a culture where safety and compliance are integral to everyday operations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in a Safety, Compliance or Transport Compliance Management role.
- Strong working knowledge of HVNL, Chain of Responsibility and NHVR requirements.
- Experience managing WHS systems, audits and investigations.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive safety outcomes.
- Excellent communication, administration and report writing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate periodically.

Desirable

- Experience within a rapidly growing transport or logistics business.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Experience delivering training and coaching operational teams.
- A positive attitude and sense of humour.
