Worldwide Timber Traders is looking for an experienced and reliable HR Truck Driver to join our team based at our Bibra Lake yard.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, looks after their truck and equipment, and understands the importance of providing a reliable and professional service to our customers.
The Role
This is a full time, Monday to Friday position involving the delivery of timber and building products throughout the Perth metropolitan area, with occasional longer trips.
Most deliveries will be local and metro-based, with a regular southbound run as far as Margaret River on Monday's and Thursdays.
The role will involve:
- Driving a HR Tautliner truck
- Safely securing timber and building products
- Delivering orders safely and efficiently to customers and building sites
- Potentially operating a Hiab/crane truck, depending on experience and capability
- Completing delivery paperwork and ensuring loads are delivered accurately
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and care of the vehicle
- Providing professional and friendly service to our customers
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current HR driver's licence
- Previous experience driving a heavy rigid truck
- Experience with Tautliner trucks preferred
- A current forklift licence/ticket is preferred
- Hiab/crane experience would be highly regarded
- Good knowledge of Perth metro roads
- A strong understanding of load restraint and safe transport practices
- A good work ethic and reliable attendance
- The ability to work independently while also being part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A safety-first attitude
