At Altus Traffic, we help keep people safe by delivering qualified traffic management services across Queensland and Australia.

Our teams work with road authorities, councils and public and private clients to deliver more than 2 million hours of traffic management services each year.

We’re looking for a Service Delivery Supervisor to join our Cairns team.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help run the day-to-day operation, lead our field teams and make sure our customers receive a safe and reliable service.

You’ll:

- Lead, support and develop Traffic Controllers and field teams
- Oversee daily operations and ensure work is delivered safely and efficiently
- Build strong relationships with clients and respond to their operational needs
- Work with Scheduling to ensure jobs are properly resourced
- Conduct site visits, audits and field checks
- Manage operational issues and find practical solutions
- Support staff performance, training and development
- Assist with incident investigations and follow-up actions
- Help manage vehicles, equipment, signage and traffic control stock
- Monitor service delivery, safety and operational KPIs

You’ll spend plenty of time out in the field with your team and customers. This is not a desk-only role.

About You

We’re looking for a confident leader and practical problem-solver who enjoys working with people and getting things done.

You’ll be someone who:

- Enjoys leading and developing people




- Is comfortable managing a blue-collar or field-based workforce
- Builds strong relationships with customers and staff
- Can manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Is confident having difficult conversations when required
- Takes ownership and follows things through
- Has a strong focus on safety and quality
- Is comfortable using computers and operational systems

Experience in traffic management, civil construction, transport, logistics, utilities, labour hire or other field-based industries will be highly regarded.

Traffic Management experience is preferred but not essential if you have strong leadership and operational experience.

A Traffic Management Designer (TMD) qualification is desirable but not essential.
