We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Water Resources Asset Engineer to join our Asset Engineering team. Whether you're an experienced engineer ready to provide strategic technical leadership or an emerging professional looking to develop your expertise, this is an exciting opportunity to build a rewarding career managing and improving Council's stormwater and marine assets. You'll contribute to asset management, water resources engineering, capital planning and flood mitigation initiatives that support safe, resilient and sustainable communities.

About the RoleDevelop and manage Council's stormwater and marine asset management plans.Deliver hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to support flood management and infrastructure planning.Plan and prioritise capital works programs aligned with long-term strategic objectives.Identify and deliver flood mitigation initiatives that improve community safety and resilience.Prepare business cases, funding submissions and secure external grant opportunities for priority projects.Provide specialist engineering advice and work collaboratively with internal teams, government agencies and the community.
Skills & ExperienceDegree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).Experience in stormwater, drainage or floodplain asset management.Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling.Experience in asset management,



risk assessment and capital works planning.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical engineering solutions.
