We're looking for a reliable, hands-on and flexible Casual/Part-Time Chef/Cook to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen and has experience with baking, pastry and general food preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting our Head Chef/Cook with day-to-day kitchen operations
- Preparing and producing bakery items such as vanilla slices, donuts, slices, pies, sausage rolls, burgers, pizzas and other baked goods
- Food preparation, cooking and general kitchen duties
- Helping maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Following recipes and maintaining consistent quality and presentation
- Working as part of a team to ensure food is prepared on time and to a high standard
About you
- Has previous commercial kitchen, baking or cooking experience
- Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Can work independently while also taking direction from the Head Chef/Cook
- Has valuable attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
- Has a positive, team-focused attitude
- Is willing to help wherever needed in the kitchen
- Must be available to work different shifts across Monday to Sunday, between 7:00am and 7:00pm
