The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Radiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Apply advanced clinical knowledge, skills, and expertise in Medical Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology
- Contribute to organisational key objectives and performance indicators within Radiology
- Provide clinical and professional leadership through supporting, guiding and directing staff
- Undertake clinical supervision of nurses in consultation with the Nurse Unit Manager
- Commit to ongoing education and assist with delivery of education to nursing staff within Radiology
- Collaboratively lead implementation of policy, practice changes and clinical innovation
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (64 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $64.92 - $66.29 per hour
About Us
Radiology delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging Service at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) and a Level 4 Service at Robina Hospital. The Queensland Health Clinical Services Capability Framework (version 3) describes these services as:
- A Level 6 service (Southport) provides a wide range of imaging services and complex, on-site interventional and neuro-interventional procedures, Nuclear Medicine, Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) services on-site.
- A Level 4 service (Robina) provides fixed-room fluoroscopy, on-site CT services, MRI, complex ultrasound, interventional radiology Tier A, and mammography and interventional breast imaging services.
