About the Business

S&N; Phones and IT Solutions provides computer, laptop, mobile device and IT support services to individuals and businesses. Our services include computer diagnostics and repairs, hardware and software troubleshooting, system configuration, data recovery, hardware upgrades, virus removal and general technical support.

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment faults.
- Install, connect, configure and replace internal computer hardware components.
- Maintain and repair computers, laptops, ICT equipment and associated software.
- Repair and replace peripheral equipment including terminals, printers, modems and related devices.
- Install, configure and secure small office and home networks, including routers and network-connected devices.
- Perform standard diagnostic tests to identify hardware and system faults.
- Maintain standard computer operating environments and carry out system updates and configuration.
- Respond to customer service requests and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.




- Provide technical advice to customers regarding hardware, software, repairs and suitable ICT solutions.
- Review work orders and determine the equipment, components and setup required for repair or installation work.
- Assist customers with enquiries regarding computer hardware and software operation.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures when carrying out repairs, installations and technical work.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants should have:

- Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Hardware, Computer Systems, Networking or a related field.
- Relevant experience in computer hardware repair, maintenance and technical support.
- Strong knowledge of computer components, peripherals, operating systems and software.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing computer hardware and software faults.
- Experience configuring computers, routers, networks and peripheral equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair and technical support jobs.
