Mckinnon HIAB & Transport is a family-run business providing reliable transport and HIAB services across Perth and Regional Western Australia.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable HR Driver with HIAB (CV) experience to join our team. This is a casual position with full-time hours available for the right person.

This role will involve the transportation and delivery of goods and equipment for infrastructure projects, as well as the installation of signs and rail-related projects, across the Perth metro area, Wheatbelt and regional WA. You will be responsible for safely operating the truck and HIAB, loading and unloading equipment and materials, and assisting with on-site installations as required across a variety of sites and environments.

The successful applicant will be comfortable and willing to undertake regional travel, early starts and working in a hands-on environment. The role may involve overnight and extended regional runs throughout WA.

About you: To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Minimum 2+ years’ experience driving with HR licence

- Current HIAB (CV) crane ticket, with demonstrated experience operating a HIAB

- Current Dogging Ticket

- White Card

- Permanent Australian Work Rights

- Ability to work early starts

- Flexibility to work weekends as required

- Experience delivering goods to residential and metro areas





- Strong knowledge and demonstrated understanding in load restraint and securing loads safely

- Experience transporting oversized loads, including an understanding of relevant requirements

- Willingness and ability to undertake regional runs throughout WA, including work in the Wheatbelt and on rail projects

- Experience or willingness to work across infrastructure, rail and construction environments

- Strong understanding of fatigue management requirements and the ability to manage driving hours safely and responsibly

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Strong attention to detail

- A reliable, skilled and safety focused attitude

- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, family-run team
