About the role

Reporting to the Leisure Centre Coordinator, the Sports Program Supervisor will be instrumental in Swan Active’s development and growth of our multi-disciplinary programs which include sports competitions, coaching programs and community initiatives all while delivering an exceptional front line delivery service to customers of all ages and abilities who require information and/or access to the Centre.
Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to;
- Ability to lead, train and supervise an extensive sports program team
- Coordinate and supervise the organisation, implementation and supervision of adult and youth programs & competitions in a safe environment whilst observing safe working practices and ensuring the health and safety and wellbeing of all users
- Develop, interpret and evaluate sports rules, bylaws and centre entr conditions.
- Foster effective and genuine relationships with customers by helping people to connect with one another.
- To supervise or undertake equipment set up and pack downs according to the programme of activities. (This will involve lifting or moving of medium weight equipment).
About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Tertiary qualification, Certificate IV in Leisure Science (Leisure, Sport or Recreation Management), Business Management or similar industry experience
- Previous experience in supervising and coordinating leisure facility staff, activities and operations
- Extensive experience in development and implementation of sport and leisure programs
- Knowledge of current trends and practices in the recreation industry
- Sound understanding and proven ability to provide high quality customer service
- Compliance with the requirements of the Working with Children Act 2004
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required
- Current senior first aid certificate

The salary for this position will be from $87,442.94 to $103,792.55 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
