Stock Controller – Hobart

Tony White Group Tasmania is looking for an organised, detail-focused and proactive Stock Controller to join our team in Hobart.

This is a key role supporting the smooth movement and administration of vehicle stock from order through to delivery. You’ll work closely with Sales and Administration to ensure our vehicle stock is accurately controlled, customers are kept informed and vehicles are delivered on time and to the correct specifications.

About the role

As Stock Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordination of new, demonstrator and used vehicle stock, helping our dealership maintain accurate records, efficient processes and a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate the sourcing, ordering, registration and booking of current and used vehicles.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle stock records, including current stock and future orders.

- Coordinate vehicle builds and ensure vehicles are prepared to the correct specifications.

- Manage demonstrator and fixed asset stock control.

- Coordinate stock swaps with other dealerships.

- Process transit damage and insurance claims.

- Prepare deal costings and coordinate accurate delivery timeframes.

- Prepare vehicle documentation and logbooks for customer deliveries.

- Coordinate vehicle freight where required.

- Reconcile factory and fleet claims, holdback and bonuses.

About you

- Previous experience in stock control,



transport logistics, automotive administration or a similar role.

- Excellent attention to detail and strong data accuracy.

- Strong communication, customer service and stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills.

- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

- High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.

- The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.

- A proactive approach to identifying efficiencies and improving processes.

- A current driver's licence is essential.
