Quicksilver Cruises, Australia’s leading reef tourism operator, is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cruise Attendants to join our Port Douglas-based team.
About the role
As a Cruise Attendant with Quicksilver Cruises, you’ll play a key role in delivering world-class reef experiences from Port Douglas. This is a permanent, ongoing position requiring weekend and public holiday work. You'll be part of a professional and friendly team, assisting with guest service, food and beverage, vessel presentation, and general operations on board our day cruises to the Outer Great Barrier Reef.
Reporting to our Customer Service Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Deliver friendly, efficient customer service to all guests on board
- Assist with food and beverage service, including buffet set-up and pack-down
- Support deck and housekeeping duties to ensure vessel cleanliness and presentation
- Provide safety information and ensure guest well-being throughout the day
- Work cooperatively with other departments including dive, snorkel and marine crew
What We’re Looking For:
- Energetic, customer-focused, and a strong team player
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working on vessels and at sea, sometimes in variable weather conditions
- Proven experience in cash handling and food and beverage
- Previous hospitality or tourism experience an advantage
- RSA and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Able to commit to ongoing part-time work – this role is not suitable for working holiday visa holders
