Greencross is looking for an experienced and adaptable Casual Locum Veterinary Nurse to support our clinics across the Sunshine Coast region.

We're seeking a confident and capable nurse who can step into a clinic, quickly become part of the team, and provide skilled nursing support when clinics need an extra pair of hands. Whether it's planned leave, busy periods, or additional staffing support, you'll become a trusted member of our regional team.

About the Role

As a Casual Locum Veterinary Nurse, you'll provide experienced nursing support across multiple Sunshine Coast clinics.

Your responsibilities may include:





Assisting veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, treatments, and proceduresSurgical preparation and theatre assistanceMonitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recoveryAdministering medications and treatmentsCollecting blood samples and performing diagnostic testingProviding hospital and inpatient nursing careSupporting urgent and emergency presentations when requiredMaintaining patient records and treatment plansDelivering exceptional client communication and educationSupporting reception and administrative duties when neededMaintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection controlThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys stepping into different environments and contributing positively from day one.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)Has 2+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experienceIs confident across medical, surgical, and hospital nursingHas strong anaesthetic monitoring skillsWorks well independently and uses initiativeCan quickly adapt to different clinic teams and workflowsHas excellent communication and customer service skillsIs organised, reliable, and professionalHolds a current driver's licence and reliable transportIs willing to travel between Sunshine Coast clinic locationsMost importantly, you're a team player who loves supporting others and is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.
