The Murray Bridge Swimming Centre is looking for multiple Lifeguards to join our team.

We're on the hunt for enthusiastic, community-minded Lifeguards to join the team at Murray Bridge Swimming Centre. If you love being active, enjoy working with people and want to spend your summer poolside helping keep our community safe, this could be the perfect role for you.

No two days are the same. One minute you'll be supervising the pool, the next you'll be helping families enjoy their visit, supporting events, or jumping into action when needed. You'll be part of a friendly team that helps make the Swimming Centre one of Murray Bridge's favourite summer destinations.

What you’ll be doing

- Keeping a watchful eye over patrons and helping ensure everyone stays safe in and around the pool.

- Responding calmly and professionally to emergencies, including providing first aid and taking appropriate action when needed.

- Helping maintain the pool, including checking water quality, temperature and chlorine levels and recording information.

- Keeping the grounds, amenities and pool surrounds clean, safe and welcoming.

- Identifying and reporting safety risks, hazards or property damage.

- Providing friendly and professional assistance to community members and visitors.

- Supporting the Swimming Centre team with programs, activities and special events.

Essential Qualifications:

- Pool Lifeguard Certificate

- First Aid Certificate

- CPR Certificate

- Current Police Clearance

- Working with Children Clearance

The position is offered on a casual basis, with an ongoing contract at Municipal Employee, Grade 4, in accordance with the South Australian Local Government Employee’s Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement within an annual salary range of $78,847 to $80,765 dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience. The Murray Bridge Swimming Centre operates annually from October to April.
