Assistant in Nursing – Day Surgery Unit

This rewarding opportunity invites you to join St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba as an Assistant in Nursing in our busy Day Surgery Unit. You will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to provide essential support before, during, and after surgical procedures, maintaining a safe environment, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness, equipment readiness, and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the performance of nursing duties in an efficient and prompt manner as delegated by a Registered Nurse or an Enrolled Nurse.
- Provide clinical care consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Facility.
- Implement contemporary infection control standards and practices.
- Support patient flow and ensure a secure environment during surgical procedures.
- Work a 7‑day rotating roster, including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

- Relevant TAFE Certificate (Certificate III Health/Aged Care) and/or successful completion of second year bachelor of nursing studies clinical placement.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is desirable.




- Capacity to assist with nursing duties as delegated.
