Technical Lead | $1,000–$1,100/day including super | 12-Month Contract

Our client, a Sydney-based government organisation, is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to lead solution architecture, application development, and enterprise application support.

Location: Sydney – 2–3 days per week in the office

Interstate candidates: 100% remote

Daily Rate: $1,000–$1,100/day + super, depending on skills and experience

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading technical solution design and development across enterprise applications, ensuring solutions are delivered to high standards, on time and within budget. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive innovation, strengthen digital capability, and ensure the ongoing performance of application platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead solution architecture and technical design for complex enterprise applications
- Manage technical deliverables across digital programs, including presenting architecture designs to governance boards
- Develop and oversee high-quality system changes and enhancements
- Manage and maintain application platforms across on-premise and hybrid cloud environments




- Ensure effective development, production support, and technical quality
- Provide technical leadership across projects and development teams
- Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation
- Contribute to technical project management, business cases, and solution documentation

About You

- 10+ years’ experience in .NET development
- Strong enterprise application development experience within corporate environments
- Proven experience designing solutions across complex on-premise and hybrid cloud environments
- Experience managing development and production environments
- Robust knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Demonstrated technical project management capability
- Excellent analytical, written, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience developing business cases and technical documentation
- Government or enterprise experience will be highly regarded
- Ability to obtain and pass a Police Check
