Assistant Hospitality & Venue Manager

Are you a hospitality all-rounder who can lead a team, look after customers and still roll up your sleeves and be hands on?

Esilio Wines is looking for a hands-on Assistant Hospitality & Venue Manager to work alongside the owners and help run our busy winery, restaurant and events. We're a small family business where everyone plays a part, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on and working alongside the team.

Key responsibilities

- Help lead and manage our FOH team

- Oversee restaurant service and staff performance

- Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues

- Answer emails and phone calls

- Assist with events, weddings and private functions

- Show prospective clients around the venue and help sell the Esilio experience

- Maintain high standards of service and presentation

- Help with general restaurant and venue upkeep

- Take initiative and solve problems without waiting to be asked

- Support the owners with the day-to-day running of the business

About you

You’ll be friendly, confident, organised and great with people, with solid hospitality experience and the ability to lead a team.

- Has excellent communication skills





- Has initiative and common sense

- Takes pride in presentation and customer service

- Enjoys working as part of a small team

- Has an interest in wine (wine knowledge is a bonus)

About you

- Has solid experience in hospitality, preferably in a supervisory or management position

- Is confident leading a team while still being very much part of that team

- Is warm, friendly and genuinely enjoys interacting with people

- Has excellent communication and customer service skills

- Is organised, reliable and able to stay calm when things get busy

- Shows initiative and can think on their feet

- Is confident dealing with difficult customers or unexpected situations

- Is comfortable with administration, emails, phone calls and event enquiries (must have good level of English)

The hours

Full-time, Wednesday to Sunday.

Weekdays focus on administration, bookings, events and venue preparation, with hands-on restaurant and event management across Friday–Sunday.

Weekend availability is essential.
