About the Role
Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, the F&B; Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily F&B; operations in across the hotel's various food and beverage outlets: Atrium Garden Restaurant, Marine Lounge Bar, Ball & Chain, Poolside Bar and In-Room Dining.
This is a unique multi-outlet supervisory role, offering broader operational exposure than a traditional single-outlet position. You will work across a diverse range of F&B; operations within the hotel, gaining hands-on experience across restaurant, bar, lounge and hotel service environments. The role is ideal for someone looking to broaden their operational knowledge, develop their leadership capability and gain a deeper understanding of how a full hotel Food & Beverage department operates.
This is a full-time position paid at HIGA Level 5, working five days per week. The successful candidate will be a confident, hands-on supervisor who thrives in a high-volume environment and can effectively lead a team of approximately 8–10 team members.
Previous supervisory experience is essential.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Supervising daily food and beverage operations across the hotel’s restaurant, bars,
and room service.
- Leading F&B; teams to deliver efficient, professional and welcoming service across breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar operations.
- Setting up, opening and closing outlets in accordance with hotel procedures and service standards.
- Allocating duties, conducting team briefings and coordinating team members throughout each shift.
- Providing hands-on food and beverage service during busy periods and supporting the team wherever required.
- Greeting and engaging with guests, responding to enquiries and ensuring a consistently positive guest experience.
- Monitoring outlet presentation, cleanliness, service flow and overall operating standards.
- Coaching, training and providing ongoing support to team members while maintaining a positive and productive working environment.
- Preparing and serving beverages, including barista coffee and alcoholic beverages, as required.
- Completing cash handling, end-of-shift reporting and other supervisory procedures.
- Monitoring stock levels, placing orders and assisting with stocktakes and inventory management.
- Managing guest feedback and resolving service issues professionally and efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, Responsible Service of Alcohol, workplace health and safety requirements and hotel procedures.
- Assisting with rostering, payroll control and labour management to support departmental productivity targets.
- Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and other F&B; leaders to support the smooth operation of the department.
- Providing supervisory coverage across different outlets and shifts based on operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory or senior team-member experience within a high-volume restaurant, bar, café or hotel environment. You will be organised, reliable and confident leading a team in a busy operation, with the flexibility to work across multiple outlets and service periods. Strong communication and leadership skills, a hands-on approach and a genuine passion for delivering excellent guest experiences are essential.

Skills & experience
To be short listed for these great roles, you will need to possess the following skills:
- Energetic, motivated and efficient at multi-tasking while working independently.
- Minimum 2 years F&B; experience.
- Beverage and barista experience is highly desirable.
- Able to think out of the box with problem solving skill.
- Honest, punctual, reliable and physically fit.
- Able to work both autonomously and within a team.
- Well groomed and professionally presentable.
- Be revenue focused and cost control attentive, always be seeking new ways to improve turnover and reduce cost to generate greater profit.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating roster when required.
- Clear communicator – ability to speak, understand, read & write in English.
