About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, trade-qualified Welder / Boilermaker with a strong background in semi-automated welding processes to join our workshop team.

You will operate advanced semi-automated welding equipment to produce high-quality, high-deposition welds on heavy fabrication, piping and vessels, while also performing manual welding when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, operate and monitor semi-automated welding equipment, including robotic GMAW, SAW and tractor/buggy welding systems
- Complete high-quality welds on heavy-gauge structural steel, plate, piping and vessels
- Work to relevant welding and fabrication standards,



including ASME IX, AS 3992 and AS 1554.1
- Perform manual welding processes where required
- Interpret and work in accordance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Conduct visual inspections and ongoing quality checks
- Maintain high standards of weld finish and fabrication quality
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive workshop environment

What You Need

- Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Welder or First Class Sheetmetal Worker
- Proven experience operating semi-automated welding equipment within a heavy fabrication environment
- Strong experience with FCAW and GMAW semi-automated welding processes
- Experience with manual GTAW/TIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret WPS and fabrication drawings
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
